Cornelius Kersten was born on 19th July 1994 in Haarlem. By profession, he is a British long-track speed skater, who competes on behalf of Team Worldstream-Corendon. He completes his education at primary school and primary university in the United Kingdom. On 4th January 2022, he was selected in the UK long track speed skating team for the Beijing Olympics, 30 years after the last participation of a British speed skater.
He was unable to acquire a place with the Dutch Juniors. Since 1 July 2014, Kersten has been playing on behalf of Great Britain. He previously played for the Netherlands, where he made his debut on 9 November 2012 during the NK Distances 2013 in the 500 meters.
